What I want from my poetry

I like clusters, soups and smoothies, putting things together and feeling the energy generated between the one and the many. My cluster of three: individuation, compassion and capacity.

Individuation: each person, place and thing is unique, a moment, a point, an instance.

Compassion: treat each and all with kindness.

Capacity: know your shit; have allies.

With individuation, I group diversity, identity and permission.

With compassion: equity, justice and consent

With capacity: inclusion, community, practice, and belonging

I see individuation, compassion and capacity as both means and ends. They are what I want as outcomes from any learning. And, they are the means by which learning is passed on.

I was thinking about my older boy going to sixth form and how would I choose. What would I look for in a new school and teachers? Treat my kids as individuals, with compassion, and have the capacity in terms of subject knowledge-base, teaching ability, and facilities to teach (rooms, libraries, bandwidth, labs, workshops).
