Richard Murphy calls for rebellion:
… we need to rebel against the system of financial capitalism that is constraining the well-being of well over 90 per cent of the people in the world. (https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2024/05/30/we-are-now-being-exploited/)
And, I agree, Richard. But how?
I have long thought a rent/mortgage-strike would rattle the powers that be. But easy for me to say. I am comfortable. Not precarious. Been close enough to know. Had a home to run to when the bottom fell out and parents young and kind enough to have me back. I am 71. My mortgage is paid off. I don’t have big demands and I have a comfortable pension. My kids are still at home.
